Can anyone recommend a third party ink that they use regularly ?

I have tried two different suppliers now with problems with each,

Colour fades – Really bad 2 colour fades turn into 3 colour fades

    Grey and orange poor

Have tried Inktec and B&P , probably best to go back to original

    thanks for the advice

Tim I may be wrong but surely there is enough money in digital print work to save all these problems and use Roland ink.

Your probably right Richard , will save all the hassle, just cant understand how there is so many companies selling it if its not a good colour match that’s all.

Yes good point, the money they spend on setting up and production means there is a market for their ink. I just think its not even worth losing one days production to poor ink and rework. Roland’s back up and printer support is 100% so if you having these problems it may well be worth the change back.

Have you had the printer profiled with the new inks, can not sort out the fading but colour is very unlikely to be correct if you use 3rd party inks with Roland profiles.

I use Activasol Premium and have had the printer profiled with all the medias I use (B&P also have used my printer to create new profiles via a third party) and my colours are spot on. The other part of a profile is setting ink limits etc, I ran my printer with Ativasol ink profiles and Activasol Premium ink in the printer and the ink was horrid it scratched easy and colours where no right Purple not Blue etc.
Had it profiled and different machine ink does not scratch and prints perfectly.
I have a banner out front of my unit that looks the same as the day it went out, only acouple of months but best fade info i have.

    Regards

    Russell.
