Just got back from Canberra yesterday from taking the bus wraps off 3 vehicles we did for the Floriade flower festival.

I have to say I am mightily impressed with the 3M Changeable print material.

The smaller of the two buses took just 2.5 hours to totally remove all 4 side and windows. The 3M material left no marks or adhesive, and didn’t damage any paint or the existing signage that we had to cover.

The client was very impressed as his coach was only off the road for 3 hours and was available to go back into service immediately.

Previous wraps took the best part of the day to remove the material and remove the adhesive that was usually left here and there. Then we would have to buff the surface again.

Although the wraps were only on for about 2 months, 3M claim the same result up to 2 years.

Slightly more expensive, but it is all I’ll use from now on when it comes to promotional wraps.

Good to hear Shane, thanks for the feedback on the media mate.
It may only have been a few months, but take into consideration the baking heat those vinyls are subjected to in Australia, never mind the grime / polution its subjected to by being on the roads all the time. really can’t get much more demanding.

well, other than the next 3 months in Scotland for one of our winter’s, that would be one extreme to another! :lol1:

anyway, thanks for the feedback shane, much appreciated mate.

On the strength of your recommendation Shane I have ordered a roll of changeable and laminate.
Did you notice any peel back at all from the edges of the material in general use?

Simon, we don’t normally laminate our promotional wraps if they are going to be on for less than 6 months. There was no curling, lifting or poor adhesion anywhere. It has the bubble free adhesive in the old cross hatch style, and heats and shrinks perfectly.

I overlap 20mm as a minimum, in case the drivers get a bit over enthusiastic with their gerni washers, but even they didn’t damage it.

Most drivers comply with our requests, although a couple try to make us look silly in an attempt to get the opposition, and their friends, a foot in the door.

I’m sure you will be please with the result anyway. I’m stocking 2 rolls all the time just to be sure I always have access to it, as the local 3M agent doesn’t carry huge stocks up here.
