I’ve just noticed a mere decade has passed since I registered although I was nosing around the site for a good year or more before this.

I was just trying to think how it was before I had such a wealth of knowledge and information at my finger tips.

I have made some great virtual friends a few of which I see time to time. I know a few who joined around the same time as me inc, George, Harry and Hugh unbelievable its been 10 years.

Still deeply miss John Childs who sadly passed away 5 years ago.

Have seen members come and go for what ever reason but all played a part in making the site what it is.

Had some great laughs along the way and some great meets over the years at SignUK.

Seen members starting out with very limited knowledge of the trade, asking a lot of questions and going on to have great businesses, mainly thanks to this site.

If I’m ever stuck on something be technical etc, etc straight to the boards I go to find the answer.

Was unsure of the new site design at first but let it find its way and have to say I like it.

So a massive thank you to Rob and the team :appl: here’s to the next 10 years

Well – I’ll see your 10 years and raise it 3

Yes John is still sadly missed – I often wonder what his advice would have been when I have come across certain issues these days 🙁

Wow… Those 10 years have flown in now Martin… 😛

The sites 14 years running now, I have seen many faces come and go, but still a great deal of the old school still in the group, even though not active on the boards these days.

Martin, Kev, John, Phill George etc to name only a few as there has been so many of us become good friends over the years.

It has been great seeing new comers arrive on the site asking the most basic of question, but develop into successful businesses with multiple staff and large premises… which is just one of the reasons we try encourage any new comer to post. You never know, they could be the Pearce Signs of tomorrow… eh well, maybe Pearce isn’t a good example! 😕 :lol1:

I’ve always enjoyed the sign Show meets. A funny one with John Childs just a couple of weeks before he passed. John and Chris Dowd made it back to the bar in the Hilton with me around 4am after a night on Broad Street, as you do!… after eating breakfast in the bar area they sneaked away leaving me sleeping on the couch… I woke later with the cleaners hoovering round my feet! Bast***ds! 😉 :lol1: :lol1:

Funnily enough, Johns "last ever" message posted and left for us all was THIS ONE!

Ah the good old days..I was rifling through my draws and came across this photo of the first ever UKSG group photo taken at a meeting many years ago. Do you recognise any of the faces here? (Rob’s in the back row fourth from the left)

That’s me in the back row on the far left standing next to Martin Pearson. I’m pretty sure Kevin’s in the front row far right and you’re second from the right in the back row if I’m not mistaken 😕
