👿 (:) getting regular time wasting calls from this 00448452860000 number, either the line goes dead or I get some *FANTASTIC* pre recorded offer and all I need to do is press 1 on the phone 🙄

Anyway I’ve just found that the number belongs to Match Maker Marketing who’s real number is 0161 941 7944. (-) lets see if they like time wasting calls

It happens here too, I am soooo sick of it.
Those annoying recordings, or people whom you can’t even understand, or the spam faxes.
I would never buy anything from someone who called me up soliciting something, won’t buy from a door-to-door solicitor either.
I wish they would all just go away.

TPS has actually cut down a lot of spam calls @ home and maybe @ work

Can’t hate on lawyers because my brother is one.
    😉
Nigel please let’s have the answer, I will send you a nice cup of noodles.
And…I got one of those damn recordings about 5 minutes ago.
    PS
I have a NO SOLICITORS sign out front, I still get the occasional YP beeyotch and once a guy said "I am not a solicitor I am a lobbyist".

tps works to a point, but does not apply to call centers based in asia, or anywhere else outside of the uk for that matter.
I find a lot off companies still try it on, my first reply is "do you know about tps?"
they normally apologies and promise to ammend their database.
So if you dont report the call the tps has no teeth, but difficult to do as most of the calls withhold their number, and don’t announce who they really are. and when asked will give vague answers.

I used to be plagued with calls at home, every evening I would get sales calls. Since registering with TPS these have become very rare so I can have my naps in the evening now without being disturbed.

Whats TPS?, sorry if it seems a stupid question, but I live a rather sheltered life.
