Deeside sign maker helps local charity by transforming their delivery van with eye-catching part-wrap and cut vinyl graphics.

Steve Lloyd of Signs Express Chester in Queensferry wrapped the van with their distinctive brand as part of his ongoing support for the charity.
Bridge Community Farms, established in Ellesmere Port in 2015, is a 10-acre farm that grows vegetables, salads, and fruit using organic methods and delivers them weekly to their customers.

They have seen a fourfold increase in inquiries from older people confined to their homes and worried about getting fresh food during the pandemic.
Steve, who was inspired to help the charity after meeting its founder Francis Ball MBE, said: “After hearing Francis talk passionately about his idea of creating an inner-city farm which could be used to help disadvantaged young adults I volunteered our services if they ever needed any signage.

“When Francis showed me the van recently I knew that we could turn it into a powerful marketing tool and it was a pleasure to transform it from an old service van into something that represents Bridge and the great work they do.

“Over the years, I have heard some amazing stories from people about how the farm has helped them. Anytime we can help, we are honored to assist.”

Clair Johnson, general manager of Bridge Community Farm, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Steve who has supported us for a number of years now with all our signage needs without any charge. He has transformed our van into a fantastic marketing tool and which is instantly recognisable to our customers.

“It is people like Steve who really help us to make a difference in our community.”

Bridge Community Farms provides support and a therapeutic environment for those with mental health and life-long learning difficulties as well as work experience for young people and the long-term unemployed.

The charity launched a dedicated service to help vulnerable and elderly people during the pandemic so they could continue to receive vital provisions.

They also launched a Bridge Buddy Club to help vulnerable customers who were feeling isolated, lonely, or anxious at home. A Bridge Buddy calls them for a chat as often as they like.
