    Hi Erdy.

The Festool is a brilliant bit of kit.
The guide rail makes it idiot-proof, route all of the edges, cut out the notches with shears & strengthen with a 40 x40 aluminium bracket & a couple of rivets in each corner. Pays for itself in no time

Thanks for sharing this and the images Kev…

Where do you buy this tool? Is it adjustable for different return sizes?

      Thanks

I am not a fan of the envelope type folded corners.

I prefer to just snip-out the corners after using my Festool. Then rivet aluminium L-shape corner supports in place.

    Nice snips tool, Kev!

      Thanks Jeff..

How do you snip out the corner? With a tool or you just cut with a knife?

Can’t remember where I got mine, they’re available on Amazon. We generally do 50mm returns so easy enough with these things. Any bigger than that I’d just use a straight edge & a stanley knife

Once you have routered your groove from the composite. A Stanley knife will cut the thin skin that’s left of aluminium. better with tin snips as mention by others though.
