Hi constantly asked to supply thick letters on fascia boards does anyone have any solutions to this
Here is what we have done in the past

    1) Built up 3 dimensional letter too expensive

    2) acrylic – too expensive

    3) Foamex ok price but horrible airated edge which doesn’t finish well

    Any solutions ??

I’ve seen polystyrene letters outside, looked like they were painted, properly to seal them. But tbh the prices were quite high.

Have done similar Rob but not exactly what we need, after that built up metal letter look same colour face and return but without the massive cost

The Sign Group do a painted pvc letter that is quite good, these are 50mm thick which is 2 layers of 25mm PVC.

Thanks Warren – wasn’t it the sign group I read about a while back that was receiving bad press?

Not that I’ve heard, I’ve never had a problem with them, they not the cheapest but the quality and service has always been good.

We cnc cut 25mm signex (foamex), prime the edges with 3m primer, and wrap them. Works a treat.

I’ve used a company called Indasol for a material called sign blok, it was similar to a dense version of oasis that flower arrangers use. Comes in 50 & 75mm thicknesses
