    Too much tension on the roll? check by unwinding some media before printing.
    Or perhaps static?

    Sorry it’s all I can think of.

    Thanks for getting back to me mate, I’ll have a look and get that tension off the take up.

    Cheers guys. – Last time we had the engineer out he fitted static strips on the front and back of the machine.

    Think i’ve managed to cure it..

    Originally I sent it on immediate print. – I think the heads been coming back to rip more data and the over-tensioned take up unit has been constantly pulling it down whilst ripping.

    Have just run it again on rip and print and reduced the tension. – No issues at all.
    had the thing 3 years and still hitting (expensive) learning curves..
