what is the correct wording please for "Tour of Wales" in welsh, could gooogle it but thought i would get it from the horses sheep’s mouth

Stop asking the web.

Ask a Welsh speaker.

I went throught the education system through the medium of Welsh but have forgotten alot of it and these days just to be sure when translating I phone the Welsh Language Board, who offer a free translation service over the phone on the spot.

Sometimes there is no literal translation, so trying to use the online dictionaries for ‘sentences’ throws up these bizzare results.

ie ‘Welsh Language Board’ in Welsh is ‘Bwrdd yr Iaith Cymraeg’.

this could translate back as ‘Table Belonging to the Language of the Welsh’

Which is just plain daft…

Give them a ring, but don’t laugh at the accent. 😀

Very good.

You see what I mean though, that literally translates back as

‘Travels around Wales’

But they know best, the proper Welsh.

If some old bugger complains, tell them the Welsh Language Board told you it.

Don’t mistakenly say it was the Welsh Language Society, that’s a whole other ‘holiday home burning’ set of chaps.
