  • Yell Online Listing worth it?

Posted by Craig Ross on 19 March 2013 at 11:51

    Morning All!

I have been looking into getting a Yell Medium-weight listing to cover a couple of local areas.

We have recently added lots more information and keywords to our free listing and seem to be getting more business from it surprisingly. So wondered if the £35ish a month over 10 months was worth the punt.

As want to have slowly advertise in a new area we are moving to in the next 8 months or so, thought this would be a good starting point.

How do you guys find it or have found it? Or do you avoid it.

How often do you search for a company on Yell?

I suggest most people now Google or use other search engines online.

I agree with John. I pulled out of Yell a couple of years ago.

I have just sold my 60,000 shares in HIBU, (worth peanuts). They can’t sort their own company out so don’t want them to try and sort mine.

    Just my opinion 😉

same here on Yell, and Scoot is a bigger joke…

    Hi

Over the last 3-years we have taken a decent sponsored listing on Yell.com , we closely monitor the lead source of all our enquiries (both verbally and tracking electronic referrals to out website) and at the moment it is proving to be worth it. The other benefit is Yell.com listings come up in Google organic searches as well, i.e. they may not have visited Yell.com initially.

As for next year, who knows, but for now it gives us a return.

    Cheers
    Macky
