Wrapping vinyl, what is your go-to brand of vinyl these days?
I have not been on this forum in years. It has really changed and there appear to be lots of new faces. I lost my password years back and couldn’t get back in, so gave up. Tried a password retrieval just there and I am back in on the first go! 😀

The prices for wrapping vinyl appear to be going up pretty steep. It has been happening since Brexit, so not overnight, but more so this month it has been more noticeable.
It has me wondering, should we all be looking for better prices or alternative wrapping vinyl or will this happen across all vinyls, so why bother?
I am more talking about solid colours, but I guess digital wrapping vinyl also. It just has me thinking because times are hard enough, is this going to be another blow? -

I saw a big increase on some ranges of 3M vinyl just recently, and I know Avery hiked their prices up a fair bit during the brexit period. but i wasnt aware of any others. that said i dont use a large range of wrapping films.
I prefer to keep to Arlon, Avery, Oracal and 3M. albeit i chop and change. I find Arlon and Oracal to be the most competative at the moment.
You normally find that there are price increases across the board around this time of year. those normally range from about 3-6% but the recent one for 3M was about 18% I think.
Maybe we wont see Avery do just as drastic a climb, but thats maybe because they already have been progressively doing it over a longer period.The bottom line is, the wrapping industry was quickly devalued for a range of different reasons, and continues to do so. This is why i do not like to get involved in full wraps and all else that comes with it, unless i am being paid properly!
maybe these new price hikes will force sign makers and wrappers to put their prices up now. if not, they will not be around for long! -
I too have noticed some vinyl price increases just recently. Not 18% though, crikey!

Yup, 3M flip/brushed/carbon are going up 19% on the 10th of February – ykes!!!
