    Stu
as far as continuing a design over a bonnet, from a wing, because of the nature of wrapping and the different amounts of stretch needed it is very difficult to get exact alignment of designs in these areas.
You need to design to use blends shapes paterns or colours which are not critical if not lined up. avoid any text or pictures, in these areas,
the same when wrapping a van, the corners need to be thought about so as not to get a misaligned look, a break in the design can be incorporated for instance.

If you need the bonnet and wings to be continuous, then they could be done in one piece across the vehicle, but then you would need to use a design that blended with the door gaps.

2d drawings are fine if you have a plan view even better, but you do need to take into account the actual size of the vehicle, and allow about 100mm oversize to allow easy fitting, never rely on the drawings, always do a measure up on the actual vehicle

    Hope this helps

Have you ever made a box out of paper? You got like a big cross and you fold it up? Same kinda thing if you want continuous design. It’s not really easy to pull off. If you want it to be perferct you will need to made templates off the car. Thats the only way I’d be confident in getting a design that needed 100% alignment to be done.

Other then that do as Peter suggests.
