I thought this topic went hand-in-hand with the guinea pig vector one…
    😉 😕
    Seriously tho…
    It turned out fine.
Glad you added the white outline to the red text to make it legible.
    love….Jill

James, for a first job it looks fine, well centered and spaced, readable to. not quite sure on the charge because it hard to judge the size from the pic.

Spelling is always a bit iffy with kebabs, doner and pita, or kepabs donner pitta! but as long as you did it as the customer wanted no probs.

but that is just a caution because they have a few variations, and if you get it wrong, make sure you have the words in writing before cutting.

I prefer the german kebabs though..

Jill, this is getting worse, "hand-in-hand with guinea pigs".

It’s almost as bad as Muffin the Mule

James, seriously for a minute, getting typographically pedantic, the ellipsis(… [ALT+0133]) looks better with a space between it and the next character. And personally, please, not Arial. Unless the customer insists.

All the best for the future.

I think you know perfectly well that it does Peter 😉

But enough of this frippery, I have to pack. We’re off to Stansted, bound for Tuscany for a week in about five hours 😀

We shall certainly have a wonderful time up in the north of the Chianti region.

We’re staying somewhere we’ve been before, on an estate that produces organic wine and oil. Lola hauls all the harvest.

I’m sure we’ll be thinking of you 😉

James, you have listed as can be expected mate… there are various ways that can be more appealing but for £50 you have done fine mate.

    James,

It is difficult to comment on price. To do the job you may have had to visit the client to find out what he wanted, produce a proof, then travel back again to apply it. The cost of all that may easily be more than the cost of actually producing the stickers and slapping them on the window.

I know that might not be very helpful but is a reminder that we all need to allow for ALL the costs when quoting.

For what it’s worth, provided they didn’t mess you about too much, and provided you didn’t need to travel great distances, it may be a little bit cheap, but not by much.

    I agree… a little too cheap…maybe £75 wouldn’t have been a problem….you also had to do the outline work….etc 😀 😀

What a great site this is!

    Thanks everyone.

Its my local carry out shop and I know them all quiet well so £50 is probably OK given that there’s no travelling involved.

I think they are pleased they’ve asked me to come up with some ideas for etching round the borders and a etched logo type thing for the door with opening times etc.

tks 4 the humour as well
I am sitting here trying to say my subject title in English, American, and Irish accents to get the effect.

English, American, And Irish! I’m sure there’s a good one out there going along those lines somewhere. Answers on a post card plz 😉

sry mate I think i know the one you mean, but you’d have to be out drinking in garrowhill in the east end to be stumbling into this wee spice palace.
