are you fitting them dry or wet?
If wet then it might go away if you have used a good application fluid or correct mix of fluids.
If you did it dry then are you sure it’s not from damage to the glue by incorrect squeegee technique?
either way it could disappear after a few days especially if done when cold.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi warren
thanks for the reply
I’ve been fitting them dry now as it just made life easier, rather than having to squeegee it all again.
when you say damage to the glue by incorrect squeegee technique
it may possibly be this…..
I tend to use the 45 degree squeegee out to edge way, is this correct
help is much appreciated
cheers

It would be hard to actually do this and is just a theory as it has not happened to me. What I thought might be happening is if you are pulling too tightly on the vinyl between squeegee strokes you might be pulling a small part of the vinyl back up off the glass after you squeegee’ed it down damaging the glue which could leave a line in it.
It was just a weird theory of mine to try help you solve the problem.
when did you do it and down it always happen or just this time? Wait a while and see if it goes away or even use a hairdryer on low heat to warm it up slightly, but obviously be extremely careful as too much heat will crack the glass.

Might be microscopic bits of air trapped in between the glue and the glass and it showing due to uneven squeegee pressure.
When we do an internal vinyl fitting on coloured vinyl, we generally do them wet so the water is evenly spread over the whole surface of the glue. When the fluid dries, there’s usually no air left.
Mind you, let the glass heat and get cold over time and you’ll probably find that it’ll go.

Have you gone back two weeks later to see if its the same or turned out fine?
