William Smith has been delighted with the success of its 2015 Open Day, held at the company’s Barnard Castle site, and its two Roadshows, in Lingfield and Solihull. Experts from 3M, Arlon, ContraVision, iSee2 and VION, as well as William Smith’s own technical team, were all kept busy throughout all three days, demonstrating, advising and talking to the many visitors who came along to find out more about what William Smith has to offer.

Interactive opportunities, especially vehicle wrapping, were particularly popular with visitors, as were demonstrations of a new sign display system – Quick Stand, solar control films and the ROLLSROLLER Flatbed Applicator. Particular interest was also shown in new wall wrap vinyls, paint protection film, new digital print films, auto tint films and William Smith’s trade manufacturing sign supply service. “We’d like to say a big thank you to all our visitors,” says Marketing Manager, Chris Bradley. “It was great to meet customers and we really appreciate them making the time to come along. We hope they found the day useful and interesting and were able to take away some new ideas for their own businesses.”

Comment from some of William Smith’s customers who attended the Open Day confirms the success of the event -Josh Jordan of Revolution Wraps says: “Everyone was very helpful and happy to explain things and I picked up lots of information and tips. The wall wrap demonstration also gave me some new ideas to try.” “It was a very good and really informative day,” comments South Tyneside Council’s Simon Dawson. “I hadn’t realised how big a company William Smith is. I was particularly impressed with the wall vinyls, Quick Stand display system and the Stylos fingerpost, and will certainly consider using William Smith for media supply and trade sign manufacturing services in the future.

Obaid Hussain of Blackout Tints & Wraps was also inspired with new ideas: “It gave me a lot of insight into the company and the seminar on fleet signage also gave me some useful ideas and tips on different sales techniques that I will be trying out.” The friendliness shown and new ideas also made the day for Michael Czubinski of Vinyl Wrap Design UK Limited. “I really liked the open-ness shown by everyone and the fact that there were people who could answer all my questions; you could learn a lot from them. I attended the seminar on Architectural Window Films and was very impressed. We will be using these immediately as we have a current project for which they are absolutely ideal. Overall, the products and services offered by William Smith are much more comprehensive than I had expected.”
