will thermal mugs fit into the standard mug presses?
Posted by Warren Beard on 19 August 2008 at 18:32I am in the process of setting up my dye sub line of products and have already had an enquiry for thermal mugs. Do these fit in to the standard mug presses and is there anything different you need to do to press them?
cheers

Warren,
i presume by "standard mug press" you mean the one you bought from China,
there is no standard mug press, as there is no standard mugs, so you need to elaborate a bit morePeter

The ones from XPres fit straight in a press that will do 11oz mugs mate.

The majority of mug presses are designed to accept and print onto 11oz mugs….this size seems to be the most common and is pressed using the 3.0-3.5 inch mug heater……..should you want to print onto smaller mugs simply buy the 2.5-3.0 inch mug heater at an aditional $17.00US ( I have to say I didn’t bother).

Thanks guys, at this time I still know very little about all this but now that makes a bit more sense 😳
I’ll just have to make sure I buy thermal mugs that fit in a 11oz press.
cheers

I would describe an 11oz Durham mug as standard, although like Peter says I don’t think there is such a thing as a universal standard mug only individual companies standard mugs.
