  • will my neon sign get to me in one piece?

    Hi folks,

I’m buying an off-the-shelf (ready made) Neon sign from http://www.neonsignz.co.uk. They will ship to Ireland for £40, or anywhere in the UK for £20. Anyway, how well do these neon signs travel?
Is there a possibility that when I receive the neon sign, it could be in bits from the journey over, or a chance that it may not work.
I’m told that these noen signs are very fragile, as a supplier in Ireland wouldn’t deliver due to the above reason, however he is a lot more expensive than neonsignz.

    Thanks, Declan.

    Declan.
We’ve had a couple of custom & ready made signs from neonsignz.co.uk.
Have been very happy with the quality and they all arrived in 1 piece.

    Hi Declan
Most Neon manufacturers pack the signs well, I think the Neonsignz come in a cardboard box with cardboard corners to protect the corners of the acrylic case, but sometimes not down to how well it is packed, it’s down to the couriers that deliver, some see the Glass with care on the box and decide to throw them about more than the standard package should be OK though just check before you sign for it, if damaged either send it back with the courier or keep it and sign damaged in transit, unfortunately not many couriers will cover insurance claims for glass so just beware…..

    Thanks guys for your advise.

I think that I will take a chance, and return it with the courier if its damaged in any way.

    Thanks again.
    Declan.

    Hi there

I ship neon signs, neon clocks etc etc all the time via the post and courier. I have to consider the packaging but the failure (broken) rate is extremely low.

When neon is in a case with plenty of packing it should be fine. Yes …couriers do not insure Glass !!!!!!!

GOOD to see someone buying and using good old Neon.

    Cheers 😛
