will i flood coat or get large panels sprayed?
G’day everyone,
I have two 8′ x4′ signs to do for a local real estate agent. Because they are the longest established agency in the district they want me to recreate their old sign done 15 years ago.
The existing signs have a yellow background with plain old black vinyl.
My question is this. Would I be better to get the panel beater / spray dude up the road to spray the metal (colorbond ie @1mm flat tin) with the appropriate colour or do you reckon I should just flood coat it the way I’ve always done? (Not that I’m too keen on flood coating 😀 )
If I do get them painted should he prime and then paint?
1 coat or 2?
How long should I let it cure for before attempting to lay application tape on it?
Automotive paint would be ideal would it not?
If the painter was good enough you’d be able to fades from one colour to another could you not? A bit like having access to a wide format solvent printer for backgrounds.
Or am I talking rubbish? 🙄
