  • will attending a wrap course be benificial?

I am thinking of going on a vinyl wrap course (grafityp three day one) and just weighing up the pro’s & con’s

If I was to go on a course.. how easy would it be to find a job (if my graphics business doesn’t kick off)

and anyone got any ideas what a vinyl wraper can charge for a job and how long does it take to do a car for instance?

Thanks to anyone with any advice

doing a wrap course will help you understand what is required to successfully wrap a vehicle. it will also give you hands on tuition from a professional. however, you will still need "lots" of hands on practice…

walking into a sign firm that deals with allot of vinyl work and you already know how to "properly wrap" would give you a good advantage in getting the job. but how good you really are after the course is the question…

i think the grafityp one is the best on the go from what i hear.

Alan, agree with what Robert has said, are there any companies in your area that already do wraps as doing a course won’t be of any advantage if the companies you apply to work for have no intention of getting in to that sort of market.
Like Robert has said doing a course will only really give you a starting point and you will still need plenty of practice. My biggest problem was that I work on my own and I think wrapping is really a two man job. I did a course not realising this and then struggled as I found it almost impossible to do on my own and getting someone to help didn’t really seem to help to much as I think you need to work as a team and both should really have done a course. I didn’t have the experience to explain to them exactly what it was I needed them to do. I don’t regret doing the course as it was a good experience for me but it didn’t really lead to the work I hoped it would.
