  • Wide format printer options?

Posted by Martin Armitage on 22 September 2005 at 15:10

We are just about to get into vehicle wrapping and want to invest in a wide format printing package. The question is wich to go for – is the Spandex jetster xl eco solvent plus any good or would something like the cadet be a better option. We would obviously want to use whatever we buy for doing some of our other work ie printing onto banners, self adhesive labels and such like so it would have to be be pretty versatile. Is there a better option available, we have an edge 11 at the moment with limited knowledge of wide format and really want to push ourselves forward so obviously have to make the right decision on equipment. I would be grateful for any comments

Most people seem to be going for the Cadet Plus right now.

I highly reconmend the Mimaki JV3 for both price and performance. However a lot of the modern printers are using the same heads, so have a look around the Print section as a lot of talk recently on these printers.

Best see how it fits your workflow and what you are doing now, Eco or Solvent is one question, Which RIP? is another.
