  • why is my clock never on the correct time?

Ok, this time im looking for help..
I am not very clued up when it comes to the background workings of computers and
    I have 2 niggling problems.

In about the last 6 months my clock on my comp had always been fast.
I reset it every couple of days because by then it’s about 1 hour fast. Seems to run faster the longer I leave it.. ? Any ideas to what I should do to sort this.. Or maybe I have it on some sort of setting? I don’t know.
I have a firewall running constant and ant virus.. I check regular for viruses and im glad to say im spotless clean..

Second problem.. About 2 months ago I bought a 17inch flat screen monitor to help my eyes, as I work long hours on here.. Rob recommended I do this and its best thing I have done. Anyway… now that I have on the home page I have some adverts not showing up. They are there and when I look on another comp I see them.. Only on my flat screen monitor do I not see them.. If it was all the adverts ide say it must be a setting or browser or some kind of settings but its not all its just 2 or 3…

    Any ideas folks?

    Hi Robert,

You may want to try this little program to help keep your system time correct.

    http://www.worldtimeserver.com/atomic-clock/

As for your problem with some adverts it won’t be anything to do with your monitor. It’s most likely to do with your firewall blocking the pictures. To check try disabling your firewall and pressing F5 to refresh your screen, the adverts should hopefully show.

    HTH,

    Gareth

Hi, had the same problem once with my website when I FTP’d new affiliatesbanners, it had to do with my internetsettings (with windows ME), on when to refresh and look for changes on pages, took me 2 weeks before I found it, hope you got more luck….

well sorry about that, cause I know it can be a pain in the b***

As for your clock, have you tried synchronising it with another server?
Go to clock settings, click ‘time’ then check the box ‘automatic synchronising’ choose a server and click ‘ synchronise now’ and try the different servers a few days. This might be the cause especially when you’re online a lot.
