  • why have the heads on vp300 stopped working?

Hi, I was printing a banner and half way through one side of the magenta head stopped working, so I gave it a clean started to print, within an inch of starting it happened again – but this time one side of the magenta and one side of the yellow had stopped working completely no ink at all. The right hand side of both was fine, I have given it a clean and so far so good. Is this a sign of something about to happen to my machine? Or is it normal and I am worrying too much.

are you sure it has not run out of ink, similar happened to me and the empty tag on the cart had not triggered the machine.

later found out there was a few carts like this

Hi don’t know if this will be any help did you shake the cartridge before inserting it into the machine? because with my versacamm i always have to shake the cartridges before inserting them!
if not any help you will have to get an engineer out to sort it.
    hope this is some help!

hi. i strongly suggest NO shaking of carts… this creates bubbles, although air cannot get into a cart but there is really no need.

Roland say to gently shake them before fitting.

I started the versacamm next day, and it worked fine and has so ever since. Sometimes just turning it off and back on again can clear faults. Luckily I had checked it, as I had just organised a call out from an engineer.
