Why are my exported PDF’s so HUUUGGE??!
So, I open a PDF design someone has sent to me, this file is 1.1MB. I then change ONE small word on the design, and export it, again as a PDF.
Now it is 40MB!!
Where did I go wrong when exporting??
Any help appreciated, oh I’m using X5.

well in x3 after hitting publish to PDF a box pops up with publish to PDf settings in the objects tab move the slider toward the low end for jpeg quality and i think you will see a difference in the file size without any great effect for the person opening the file to view.

using X4 myself – as said you need to publish to PDF and click the ‘settings’ box when asked to confirm details; this allows you to reduce the quality – hey presto samller PDF 😀
