I went a couple of years ago, it was OK but no-where near as large as Sign UK, although judging by the way the Sign UK shows have grown over the last 3 years I would imagine the Irish show will have too.

Good excuse for a night in Dublin too!

Is Dublin ready for the SignUk crowd Lorraine?? 😀 😀
I mean how would Elsewhere get home!! 😀 😀
Dave Rowland ‘Lost In Ballsbridge!’ 😀 😀

Never been to Sign Ireland and that’s exactly what I was wondering, how much stuff would be on display.

although i have never attended, i believe its always been a smaller show, but still as many suppliers there, just smaller stands etc
i think because of the way faversham is merging various shows into one will make it much better as the show will increase in size of course which means more variety under one roof.
there are a heck of allot of Irish folk registered on uksb… maybe a show of hands of those attending would be the making of a good night out? 😉 :lol1: :lol1:

last years show was pretty good…as others have said it was quite a small show but well worth a visit.

I’ve pre-booked a ticket for the show but yet to book a flight with Sleeze-jet 😉

Take the bus link to the city centre Derek, if the bus stops on O’Connell Street get off and walk across O’Connell bridge and get a 7 or 8 bus from Eden Quay (to your left as you cross the bridge from the Northside) most of the buses on that Quay will pass The RDS. Cheaper than a taxi and a quick enough journey off peak.
Altenatively go to Busarus (the bus terminus)on the bus link and get a taxi from outside…. should only cost 10 yo yo’s
    Hope that helps.

Anyone traveling in from the airport can use the ‘AirCoach’ service which has a direct link to Ballsbridge

The show is not in that hall Fran, it’s in Simmonscourt (or Hall 8 as it’s now called)

For those not familiar with the area, it’s behind Bewleys Hotel.

Yes your right Martin, it used to be in one of the main buildings. Never checked the site. 🙄
If it’s in Simmonscourt it must be getting bigger & better ?

Just a slightly longer walk for Derek, unless you fall into Bewleys.

the 4 of us here went today and have to say we were a bit disappointed by the size of the show and what we saw there..
nothing outstanding 😕 don’t think we will bother with this show again 😕

found the Cutting Edge stand interesting tho’,have used them before and definitely will be dealing with them in the future, nice work
and meet martin kennedy ,cheers for your help 😉
and also got to meet john murphy & his dad from enniscorthy, nice to meet in person after all the phone calls

getting out of the office was good too, great craic travellling to and from the show so not a total waste of a day :lol1:

i went yesterday thanks for the pointers how to get there.
i too was a bit disappointed but the tutorials more than made up it
some great new stuff from signlab.
not too many people about so managed to get some one on one instruction.
so was worth it for me
had to come out early and have a couple of pints on my way back to the airport.

    Hi Harry,
Your childminder probably did you a favour and saved you a trip, as the other guys said show this year was was small even with the combination of stands from the print and digital shows the hall was 2 thirds full. That said, I got some business done.
