Well it wasn’t me, I am just off the phone to support and the Server Hosts don’t know why it happened either, (typical excuse).
what they did say was it was a denial of access, the file needed to authourise the site access was "missing" but when support just manually looked whilst on the phone, it WAS there…. so they are confused.

lets hope our hacking friends aren’t back.

anyway… the rebooted the site and it came straight back online. so we will see… 🙄

yep 403, looks like the server changed permissions some how in memory.
