The list is endless…As I’m sure you’ll hear!
It’s a matter of preference. For me VWS all day every day (KPMF) but each to there own!
But remember, If printed it needs to be laminated, regardless of the vinyl, I’ve never wrapped a vehicle in single colour vinyl that has been laminated.

VWS is a good Glossy solid colour wrap. even for beginners its a decent film to work with because its initial tack is not too high and its relatively thick so its a bit more forgiving working with it. i haven’t used it for a good few years now though…
the downside, is i used white VWS on a navy van. when i was stretching into the recessed areas on the likes of a sprinter van. you could see where the vinyl was thinning and the navy colour was beginning to show through. also… i had a few expereinces of the vinyl pulling back out the recesses which i would imagine is also a result of thinnining of the vinyl and adhesive on the rear. from there i switched to MACfleet from Mactac which was a good send. much more difficult to work with as its very tempremental in cool rooms, but once its on you have peice of mind its staying on/put. -
Too true Robert..
Vws was changed to Vws2 which is a more usable material. I’ve never none it to show vehicle colour through before! Maybe to stressed or too much heat?!!
Macfleet quite rightly so…It loves you if you love it! Too cold, it snaps, to warm its like fitting clingfilm. As with all wrapping, environment is detrimental!

I’ve got a sample of Oracal 970 premium wrapping cast vinyl, not tried it yet but been told its re positionable adhesive and good to work with.
Comes 1520 wide which is ideal.

Hexis have a new one called HX20000 which is very glossy and 100 micron so quite easy to handle. There is also the 3M 85 series which has controltac adhesive.
These are more suited to car wraps though.

Cheers for the comments guys, it’s daft as I’ve been wrapping for years and this is the first color change. I’m so used to thinking about print and laminate that now i have this to contend with I’m back to new territory.
be nice to test a few materials but as we all know that’s a luxury that customers don’t give in means of time and money.
Van is a ‘daihatsu extol’ which i haven’t seen yet not in the flesh anyway so I’ll probably decide on a material once I’ve see it.
Thanks again. -

Thanks Mike,
I’ll compare prices of materials and see what comes out on top.
Thanks all for comments
