Just done my reg maintenance clean including wiper blade change and I’m getting some white powder or fluff coming down all over my prints……..

    Anyone seen this before?

I’m just wondering if it’s where I just replaced the cutting knife and some backing paper residue has come out…..

I get fluff acumulating in the sheet cut off channel from the backing sheet as it being cut. Need to clean it out every now and then otherwise it can cause problems.

mmmm, i’ll check that, It seems to be dying out as I do more printing, there was probably a build up behind the cutting knife in the carriage, so when I changed the blade it must have released…. it’s improving

Actually now that I look at the difference in cuts between the new blade and the old one, I can see what’s happened. I should have replaced the blade earlier, much better cuts on the new blade, cleaner. The old blade really roughed the backing paper up…

Whats the rough replacement guide, that’s the first in 12 months for me! In fact I wouldn’t have given it a second thought other than I was doing maintenance and found the spares in my Roland box so I looked into it… It’s something I have been overlooking! 😳
