  • Which reflexite yellow for ambulances?

    Good day

We have an accident vinyl repair to do on an ambulance but are unsure on the yellow to use.

Ambulance is in green and yellow reflexite, different to the normal 3m diamond we are used to seeing.

Green daybright reflexite is fine, the new vc312 has thin triangles same as before but the yellow on the vehicle has thicker lines, perhaps the older reflexite but as well as that which yellow? There seems to be 3 different materials similar, L2 fluorescant lime daybright, L1 fluorescant yellow daybright and 18 yellow daybright (although all of these have thin triangle lines not thick ones like the ones presently on the ambulance.

    Any assistance appreciated of course.

I thought most emergency vehicles like Ambulances were done in 3M Diamond Grade, shows much I know.

I "think" dorotape offer Reflexite, but never used it myself. sorry…

If it is just a conspicuity tape that doesn’t need edge sealed you’re after then Averydoes a range now.

Why not give Reflexite a call?
Always been helpful when I’ve asked for info.

Thanks for your replies fellas, have given reflexite an email with piccy Simon (did not scan too good, the green ok but the yellow reflected so well that it came out black and white!).

Most of the ambulances we do come with 3M Rob but a few arrive with reflexite (another livery provider I suppose) and we’ve had a couple with nikalite too. We used to just order in the reflexite ones pre-cut to the pattern but our previous source has disappeared, wish I had identified with him the type and colour when he was supplying us but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
