  • which health & safety vector CD?

Posted by Lorraine Clinch on 4 August 2006 at 14:41

Hi guys, fed up not being able to pre-view files in my H&S CD, so have decided I must purchase another one.
I have looked at the Impact disk (80signs), also Victory Designs (2000+ signs on disk) but the price difference is about £100 😮
Are there any others you can recommend, and why?
    Thanks

Yes they do, all the CDs I have from Impact came with books, very useful I think.

I inherited 2 disks, neither have books or any other means of identifying what is within each file. PITA.

I was just wondering whether there were any other disks out there.

I "think" we have the impact one, had it for years. To be honest I haven’t needed to change it. I don’t know about you, but when we get asked for a sign it’s normally out sized to the clipart/sign supplied on disk. (scaling up, down not possible… so we have to create our own blank and use make the graphics and text fit. signs we don’t have are normally just the same graphics, colours etc but the wording is changed or shape of sign.
Disks that offer more signs undoubtedly help better… but you will find you will have one sign, laid out 10 or more different ways. Which is very easy to do yourself…
Also watch out for signs that offer U.K. and U.S. road signs and safety signs. Basically these make up numbers but half the disk is unusable.
