    Hi Everyone

Now we have been going for some time we are wanting to start producing larger signs for shop fronts etc..

We have used slimtrim in the past on a few occasions but now we want to offer our customers a much wider choice.

Having looked at various sign frames we were wondering which frames are best used for which jobs. So far we have considered using

    Panatrim
    Slim Trim
    Euro Trim
    Proframe
    Universal – Clip Frame
    Plus others.

We want to know what the differences are between these various frames and which situations they should be used in and why. Also do any of them have advantages when problem solving, such as front laoding when there is no access from any side.

Any advice would be much appreciated as we just want to make sure we are always using the correct materials on evey job we do. Getting the best reuslts as we dont want to produce every sign using one product.

    Cheers folks 😀 😀

    Hi again,

Have I asked a stupid question here or are these frames just a matter of choice and preference with no real difference between them.

Any comments would be a real help.

    Cheers folks

    Aaron 😀

We had a big poster which has images and rough guides for use and loads of literature from “Universal Sign Systems” was quite a while ago ….. might be worth contacting them for some literature & info?

Arron, you will find in most cases its down to personal choice and what you can buy at the best price. The frames will have different profiles depending on manufacturer and some are available in a wider range of colours than others, my advice would be to get samples of each and prices.
The only real bit of advice I would give you is make sure the framing you use is suitable when doing long lengths, eurotrim 150 is a reasonable frame but lengths longer than 3mtrs tend to bow and are difficult to fit straight, however europoint do a heavier frame with the same profile.
Panatrim tends to be a sturdier frame than most, but I tend to use eurotrim most of the time because I get it from Europoint Display at a good price.
Robert did a demo about making up frames a while ago, you might want to check that out as well.
