  • Where to buy plain liner paper rolls?

Posted by Hugh Potter on 30 June 2016 at 15:56

On my old 720 laminator I always used the old liner paper as a permanently fed base when laminating, the idea being that the laminator can be left alone once set up and no worries of the laminate sticking to the bottom roller. Now I have the 1400 laminator I don’t have any spare liner paper to run through it, I know that someone sells it as I’ve seen it, I thought it was Grafityp but they say they don’t..

    Any ideas please?

    thanks,
    Hugh

What width do you need 1370 any good?

I may have a roll kicking around from the take up on our laminator.

Maybe stating the obvious, sorry. After you laminate first roll you will have the spent roll of carrying paper from then on?

that’s got I got the last lot Rob, with this new one I’m swapping laminates about so have yet to run a decent length of it! once it’s set right I like to leave it loaded until such time as I need to change material or a new roll!

In over 15 years i never once used backing paper when laminating never had any problems with glue sticking to the rollers, I used a Makrolam 2r 1650, top hot roll

it’s something I started doing after having a few prints wrap themselves around the bottom roller, not an experience I want to repeat on a 1400 wide! it did it earlier but luckily only on a 600mm long print!
