Our old roland used to have an optical "eye" that would sense where the leading edge of the vinyl is, if this became clogged with bits of vinyl it would cause the same problem that you are having. If there is one try cleaning it out (will be on the front platten)

    Hi Darren,
Sorry to have cut you off, from what youve told me the cx24 seems to be set up correctly through Coreldraw and i really do think that setting the contours to hairline is probably the way to go, setting to cutcontour is for the versacamm . Why it is not working for you I dont know especially as it is working through Signlab. As I said I really dont have any experience with this model perhaps others could help you

Try ajusting your page size to the size of the job you would like to output (1mm larger), and then output "center of page" I do this when printing to a Roland VersaCamm from Corel. Or better still, get some dedicated software to run your cutter. I normally create my "cut files" on coral, then export to the cutting program, and output without any changes. Anything will work. Sign Script, Cas Mate etc. You dont have to learn the new software – just find the cut / plot command – and in most cases quality is better. (especially when cutting very small fonts)

Just wondering if it’s as simple as… have you pressed the origin button once you’ve loaded your vinyl?
