    Hi all,

You may have seen my other topic about routing bridges on a router…

On another note, where do you all get your double sided tape for router work?

I’ve been buying from builders merchants/B&Q and using double sided carpet tape – this has been ok as we’ve not been doing a massive amount with the router since we got it, but now we’re doing more so the B&Q carpet tape is a bit expensive.

    Anyone got any other ideas?

    Cheers
    Joe

    Try Glenseal or Packstat

Double sided acrylic tape. It’s not ideal but is workable.
Glenseal has good tape but is a bit on the expensive side!!

flood the back of the material you are routing with high tac application tape and then spay on contact adhesive, spray a sheet of 5mm mdf with contact adhesive and laminate down, it will never move.

    total cost. for 8×4 sheet.
    application tape £2.00
MDF sheet £ 4.50 ( can be used twice £9.00)
can of spay glue £ 3.25 ( 1/2 can per sheet)
    total £9.75 a sheet.
    material that doesn’t lift. PRICELESS
