where can i purchase a metal work pedestal guillotine?
Good afternoon all
Does anyone know where I could purchase a pedestal guillotine about 6"/8" wide. For making built up stainless steel letters and a small folder,
I have looked every where I can thing but seems they are not about.
We have an old letter maker coming to show us how to make them but we need to track down some equipment first.
If any one can help I would be very thankful.

try your commercial auction houses, they always have old metalwork equipment,
also have a look at exchange and mart, often stuff in there.
i sold my stuff a few years ago due to space, but a 2ft wide roller, bender, and 10" guilotine all cost under £100 each from similar places to above.

you are best looking on-line for a three in one if you want to make built-ups.
i.e.
Guillotine
rollers
folder
they are about 20inches wide and bolt onto a bench top.
cost about £500 new. Second hand ones are rare at this size. however large ones you can buy from machine mart and the like. we have a 6ft wide folder and a 3 metre wide guillotine. both i think came from machine mart.
