I don’t know what suppliers you have home in the UK, but I use Johnson Window films, made in the USA with a 10 year guarantee, against cracking, fading etc etc.

Nice quality film and good to work with, I personally wouldn’t bother with a programme for cutting shapes, one they aren’t going to fit on lots of models, and I guess like all things if you get a vehicle in and you don’t have the templates and your not sure how to go about things, what do you do then.

I reckon we could cut a window shape quicker than you could load the info in your computer and cut it on a plotter, and how does computer software deal with curved windows of which there are loads on todays vehicles, cutting shapes is OK on an old square Volvo but not some of todays modern shapes.

You’ll make more money and work better learning how to do it with a knife and a 30m roll of film 🙂

Here is an example of a back window on an SUV thats not particularly curved but needed to be shrunk.

and a “flat” sidewindow that still needs shrinking a little

Totally agree with Henry…Forget the computer cut angle. Do it by hand.
I did a demo (way back when) on how to tint a rear screen. Do a search on the site to find it.

Any questions, give me an email if you like.
