The Photoluminescent Vinyl used in the video is by 3M and can be sourced through Wm Smith
What i dont get though is, this sorta thing is great for short term promotion, but i doubt very much its an actual wrap product, or a cast for that matter. (but i could be wrong) Photoluminescent Vinyl is normally for H&S signage onto flat panels and i cannot think why it would be made in mass volume as a cast.
my view is it looks great when the lights are out, but when on, its a yucky green/yellow on an exepnsive car. Photoluminescent Vinyl is also powereed by light itself, so once dark, it will quickly loose its "glow"… maybe after an hour or so? yes another cars lights beaming on it will re-generate the glow, but only where the beam strikes the car and will last less time due to it being a quick burst of light/charge.
hope that makes sense… just my view on the wrap of course…

Wow that looks impressive! Perfect for when I’m visiting the local drive-in rave party!
Like Rob said it’s a shame about the horrible daylight colour. When I first saw the 3M scotchlite black reflective vinyl I thought it would be interesting to wrap some things in that but it’s not intended for curved surfaces either.

when is it ever going to be pitch black on the roads though?………..can’t really see the point of it other than a bit of promo 😕

while I am certainly no expert in photoluminescent films, I have tried many different brands with a view to using them for a specific non signage purpose, 90% of them are a waste of time,
that car was in a bright workshop, probably had the lights on it for a fair amount of time yet even one minute into the ‘lights out’ it had faded considerably.
i’m not knocking 3m’s film but, some just don’t glow as bright or as long as others, fine for a fire exit sign in a pitch black building but, if you expect it to work simply due to a daytime to night time transition then you’ll be disappointed, i’ve arrived at a test place in the evening and when i’ve opened the boot of the car i can see the tape glowing well (after a day in sunlight) but, by the time we’ve got to the very dark place of test and got started, maybe an hour, the tape is little better than holding yellow card up.
some tapes i’ve had are really useless, others you can see the sample glowing through the envelope when i walk into a darkened workshop,
the very best results happen when i use ultra violet light to ‘charge’ the film, this then glows very well for about 1/2hr in reasonably warm (UK) temps and ‘contaminated’ light, in very dark places it’ll glow effectively for up to an hour.
now, if you charged that car up with a huge array of ultra violet lights in a confined space, then drove out into the night it would look like a nuclear accident, as it is, under normal lighting and normal use, it won’t do much more than in the video!
