Dilwyn,
I’m about ready to go on the road for a little over a week, so additional replies if needed may be “lagging” and will happen as time and access permit…
As for getting vinyl palettes inside Corel, you would need to secure these from the manufacture, perhaps a distributor, a fellow board member, or create them yourself. Not being a Mactac customer, not sure of their status in the world. I have made some Avery palettes for use inside both Corel and Gerber software if you would like to use them as a sample on how to create your own. They can be found on my Free Stuff page.
What version of Omega? Providing that you are at Omega 1.56 or above (2.0 or 2.02), Gerber has already made foil palettes available for use inside Corel and a small utility that makes going from Corel to Omega much, much easier then ever before. It’s not an all inclusive solution (Omega doesn’t support Power clipping, etc), but goes a long way in taking some of the “work” out it. Foil palettes and the Launcher utility are great additions to Corel/Gerber users!
Insert your CD media for Omega. On the initial menu that appears, click on the “Next” button in the lower right area. Click next again to get to the third page. This past thread on another board gives a visual of what you are after and saves me a little time right now.
If you have Omega 2.x or above, there is an additional button in one of the menus (screen shots on that other post reflect Omega 1.56 menu structure) that contains readme type files and pdf’s that are helpful in learning a little more about this and related items.
If you have additional questions, list away. If no one else answers till I return (or have time), I’ll answer them to the best of my ability at that time.
