    Hi Guys,
I am looking for a supplier of blank boards. Nice framing, well made, cheap! (expectations a little high?)
Although i have a couple of carpenters that i use to make boards, it would be nice to not always pay for bespoke work and having a standard stock item may also help the client decide what they actually want!

Curved and shaped tops always cause problems on framing etc but are less dull than the usual rectangle.

I know that Dave Kynaston makes some great wooden effect ones and i am looking forward to his meet in August.

    Paul,

well made and cheap? not really.

Well made and reasonably priced would be a better phrase!

    see you in wales…..

Have you thought about making them yourself. ??

I have done 3. Used 15-20mm veneered ply with to make the main boards from a 5mm MDF template which guided a hand router. I then glued and nailed edge beading round to frame and applied stain and 2 coats of varnish. Nothing too hard if you have the tools and a little wood working knowledge.

Although i have made some in past, i am not really set up for it. Square ones are fine but anything more decorative and it is probably cheaper for me to buy made. I have two round topped ones that need making ASAP and i will consider your DIY approach again. Thanks
