    Yes (if you’ve got a suitable printer) and Europoint do 510gsm rolls (1370mm x 50m) for £64

i think that will be a 30 metre roll mate… i could be wrong but the norm on banner material is 30-35 metres on a full log.

really! i was always lead to believe that it isn’t sold any higher than 35 metre’s because like you said, the weight factor for loading the machine. [H&S]
then there is the feed from the machine. if the roll is too heavy the printer may not feed it at the correct speed and cause print issues.

We buy 50m rolls of soyang media. Just needs 2 people to load it, but don’t put one on a versacamm, valuejet etc as they just aren’t designed for heavy medias. Most production machines can take up 100kg rolls.

You shouldn’t have a problem. Probably better spooling some media off though, that way the feed motors aren’t pulling the full weight of the roll.

    Cheers

The europoint rolls as Gary says are definately 50m rolls, they about 40kg I believe when new, and I lift em on the machine on my own  😉

I always just spool off the media before starting then just keep an eye on it to keep letting more out. Works a treat!

30m rolls are the limit for me I think. I feel like an Olympic weightlifter trying to load it. It’s not so much the weight as putting it on the spools without crushing your fingers!

    Evening everyone,

Been buying our Ability blockout banner from Europoint, about £75 a roll (1370mm x 50m) but they’ve run out with no due date.

Anyone got any other suggestions for media around this price?

Grafityp and Euromedia do it Andy but not 100% on product codes etc as i don’t buy much "blockout" banner at all.

Have to agree Peter, we’ve used them for many years now and have never had a problem (honest) until the recent "change". Hopefully it’ll settle down and the usual service will resume.

Will try the companies mentioned, thanks!
