whats the correct way to weld in corel please?
Hi,
Having real trouble with this and it should be so easy.
As you can see attached i have 2 boxes overlapping all i need to do is to weld them together so that they don’t have the crossovers so that they don.t cut thorough each other.
I ‘ve seemed to have tried everything but just cannot do it.Can anyone help me please, using coreldraw 12.

Not sure about "weld no source no target".
I broke apart then combined then hit weld and was left with the just the outside outline and not the inner.Thanks Dave

combine one pair of boxes then the other pair so 2 objects then weldin 12 is there not the target and source object tick boxs

You need to combine the two parts of each box so that you have two items, then weld one to the other.
If you have used the outline tool you may need to ‘break contour group apart’ before combining.

Got it lads i just assumed i had to have both the items selected before combining. So simple when you know how.

Too late in the day Dave, I know, but the other way is to trim the inner box line from the outer box line, delete the inner box. Then its weldable.
Same result, I know but thread is more of about me finding my way around. (!)
