    How do,

I have two Vivaro’s and an astra van to do soon, the customer want’s to use some reflective material.
My supplier stocks the LG range, and I was looking at the LL7000 product, he commented that it doesn’t really like recesses and upon inspection I thought the adhesive seemed weak, has anyone used this product before or is there a prefered reflective product?.

Last thing is there a limit on reflective material being used on standard delivery vehicles?..

    Cheers

although i am, in a way, wrapping with this reflective, it is not something i would “advise” but i personaly have not ever had a problem with it.
also, this is not really a deep recess. more embossed letters.

    anyway, i am babbling… have a look. 😀

Generally speaking, reflective vinyl is classed as a light source on vehicles. So go canny on the amount of white or rear, or red on front! Other than that – there doesn’t appear to be much legislation as to amount of it you can use – or the design…..

well, other than…..”Thou shalt not replicate an Emergency Vehicle….”

Only recently i have used this lg reflective vinyl and pushed and stretched into a few recesses and curves, nothing major but boy was i wrong. Vinyl sticks lovely and heats perfect and then 4 weeks later job comes back. All parts stretched or heated had completely lifted. Customer was warned before job was done about the danger of this but wanted it done his way anyway. To make a long story short I fixed and trimmed rather than stretching and customer was way out happy again. But ill add through using all the different reflectives i like this lg vinyl. Once stuck after 4 weeks i heated the reflective to about 220 degrees and it lifted away perfect, NO GLUE!!! left behind and one happy signwriter.
