  • What would you charge for these window graphics please?

    Hi there
was just looking for a bit of advice. How much would you charge for laying out supplying and fitting these graphics to a window.

The window is 3m by 2m.

The text will use 5m of gloss red vinyl.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

    Many thanks

    Liam

Hi There really isn’t a set charge but there are loads of variables as i see it how far is the job away ? traveling time etc i would personally measure the vinyl for the whole area of window and allow 10 % over that for any problems then work out your fitting time and hourly rate design time and mark up on vinyl and also we tend to forget to charge for the app tape. so as you can see without all the details its hard to say a costing

    Hi
    thanks for your answer Kev.

The job is very local it will only take 10 minutes to get there.

The window is at ground level.

Obviously as you can see it’s quite a simple job.

The graphics will not be up for long, it’s a promotion until the 22nd of August so i have to balance out making it an attractive price for a temporary job with making it worth my while.

Can anyone give me a ball park figure of what they would charge just to give me an idea.

    Many thanks

remember liam just because the job is temporary doesnt mean you lower your price, you still have to cut , supply and apply the same if it was up for a few years, anyway i would charge £145-165 😀

    Thanks Nik,
i understand exactly what you’re saying about having to do the same work no matter how long it’s up there. But at the same time in a competitive market i have to look at it from the clients point of view. They are advertising a one day sale in a small shop so i have to estimate how much they would be willing to pay if i really want to get the job.

But at the same time i do not want to undercharge and lower the price standards in my area.

Thanks very much for giving me the ballpark figure of what you would charge though i really appreciate your help :lol1:

this is a very simply job but as has been said just because its short term should still be charged fairly, having said all that if its 10min down the road

charge £35 for the vinyl and £80 to fit
    rich 😀

I’d charge roughly the same as Mr Urquhart above.

Seems about right, no more than £125, make up in two parts, very easy and quick.

I wouldn’t recommend red on a window unless it is backed up or outlined in a light colour or has a light colour blind behind it
    id suggest white
if you have to use red then go a poppy red
