  • what way do i cut thermal reflective small text?

not sure where to post this so thought here, indeed if anyone does this, anyway. Cutting thermal reflective small text can’t seem to get balance between cutting hard enough without pulling half the text off and enough to weed cleanly using Roland camm 1. Any suggestion would be really helpful, as always deadline Sunday night!

you need to use a 60 deg blade specially for reflective.

Don’t weed it on the liner. Tape it up & apply the whole thing – don’t rub it down hard then remove the excess.

Might be worth a try if it’s a good quality reflective & it doesn’t de-laminate / fall apart when peeled.

Thermal reflective – like the mirrored glass coating? I didn’t think it was designed to be cut.

Normal reflective (signs & vehicles) will only cut down to about 6 or 7mm in my experience. Smaller than that, or if a lot of text I will reverse weed another colour & apply it over the reflective to let it shine through.

And how small is small text. Some people think 10mm is small – others just 2.5 or 3mm!
