  • What shade of dark green should i paint the sign tray?

Posted by Deleted User on 24 November 2009 at 11:55

We are currently designing a sigh tray with some built up led letters on there.

The problem is the customer has left the shade of green up to us.

so can someone please advise on a nice dark green shade (ral or pantone) bearing in mind there are going to be built up leds on the tray aswell, also can someone advise on the best colour of led lights that will show up on a dark green sign tray.

I got a design of the sign but do not know how to attach it here

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

I would never suggest a colour without seeing the situation and designs.

As for LED’s showing up, I would apply a mat vinyl outlay behind the text, outlined by around 10mm. Then possibly use green LED’s.

I did similar recently with mirror stainless builtup letters on a dark salmon fascia. I used red LED’s which look superb at night against the mat grey vinyl.

Finally half the problem is over, we have decided to go with green (ral6024) as we think this is the best shade of green.

So all we need to know now is what colour leds would go with it.

Thanks for your input peter dee, if no one else comes up with any advice then i think we will go with your idea of using green leds but what vinyl should i use for the outlay?

    Thanks

    forgot to mention

The sign tray is all green, the built u led letters are gold and the rest is vinyl text in silver.
