what removes scuff marks on vinyl?
Posted by James Martin on 30 September 2007 at 12:15Put a big nasty line across some black 651 with a large rubber water removing squeegee.
tried Avery surface cleaner……….nup
tried tar and glue ……..didn’t work either.
The jobs finished but this is spoiling it a bit.
Anyone got any ideas.

As Ian has already said, a good wax polish or trusty Mr. Sheen has been known to work…but black is a sod to disguise any marks.

I’d go with something containing a little bit of abrasive to start with. Cutting compound, T-Cut or Brasso.
Then follow that up with wax polish or Mr. Sheen to bring back the gloss, if it needs it.

try heating the vinyl while rubbing it with a soft cloth 😀

tks guys
I got some t-cut, some back to black, and some polish, met, or something; anyway, I think the t-cut would have worked if I’d have had time but I could only have a quick go.
That and the polish was slowly working I think.

Try some isopropyl alcohol.
It takes some scratches out of our Paint Protection Film, so may work. Dont know, but give it a go.
