  • What profile should I use?

Hi all, I am printing blue-backed paper, full colour, and am using the Photo Matt paper profile, but it is coming out wet still, and sticking to itself on the take-up roll. Is there a better profile I can use does anyone know? Or any advice please? Got several metres to run.

    Hi Lorraine

I use the GPPM: Photo Matte Paper on my VS without any issues

Hi Robert, thanks, that was the one I used, but on high-speed, so I guess was still wet when it rolled up. I solved it by printing in batches with a fan heater in front of the print, then pausing when it reached the floor, cutting off between posters, then restarting printing. Got it all done in the end (12 metres), although a bit fiddly!

    Thanks for your reply

    Hi Lorraine

did you turn the printer heaters up to help dry the ink?

    Hi Lorraine ,

Used to see that with uncoated "digital" blueback that was really designed for turbo jets rather than Roland’s or Mimaki ink jets , seen people hang it up like washing before.
Can buy more expensive blueback coated media designed for said printers that doesn’t suffer from this 60m rolls , still very low priced and a lot less hassle.

    Cheers
