  • what method do you use to spray pvc?

    Hi All

We’ve been spraying our router cut foam PVC letters for over a year now and find that we have to sand / prime / sand / prime / top coat the letters to get a good result. Main issue is the ‘open’ cells of the foam PVC and the paint soaking into the exposed edges which makes the finish poor.

We use our method and a 2 pack process paint as our spray-painter comes from an auto body repair background.

Is there another way to carry out this operation or a spray that will close the cells of the foam to give a high quality result?

I look forward to being educated (again) by all you clever guys and gals…

we use evostik 3019 or any pvc pipe adhesive that you can get in a builders merchants, rub it into the core and it seals it instantly, quick sand and a light topcoat primer and that you, beware , you’ll get that high on the fumes all the staff will be fighting to get to do it :lol1: :lol1:
