one part of component B to twenty parts of components A and stir thoroughly. Use parts by weight or by volume.

    1 bottle of A = 1 bottle of B.
Mark halfway on each bottle then half each half until you’ve split each bottle into 1/8’s.
This way you won’t run out of activator.

Trouble is Tensol can come in an aluminium ‘flask’ – but your suggested method is good otherwise.

When I’m mixing it up – it’s sometimes safer to put either spot on 20:1 or a little bit less activator in the mix rather than too much. Not only will this give you a glue less prone to cracking, you’ll get a good 30 mins instead of 3 minutes to complete your job!

ps. it’s also a good idea to store Tensol 70 A&B in a cool place – ideally a fridge or chiller NOT used for foodstuffs as this will maximise its shelf life & cut down on the horrendous fumes (however nice they may smell!)

There are also numerous health warnings on ‘Part B’ – it contains phenols & phalates – that can act like synthetic oestrogens. Guys especially – handle with care…

    That’s funny 😕
I bought the Tensol 12 in the metal flask and that didn’t have a second hardening component with it.

Anyone know the difference between Tensol 70 and Tensol 12 ? 😕

Tensol 12 doesn’t have a hardener. We generally use 12 for small, internal jobs and 70 for larger pieces of work and external jobs.
