  • what is the best vinyl for applying to an lcd protector?

    Hi all
I know this is a bit of a strange one but I wonder if you can help
I want to cut some screen protectors for some small lcd displays I have (i can’t seem to find any for sale) so I was wondering if you had any idea of a fairly thick but easy to peel off vinyl that I could use and that would cut fairly well.
I had thought about window cling but don’t think that would have enough tack.
Any advice would be much apreciated
    Regards
    Scraggy

I would have thought that any short life monomeric removable vinyl would do the trick. This is usually between 70-100 microns thick and the adhesive is ~25% normal strength and is designed for easy removal for up to 2 years.

This is available in many colours and in clear if you want them to see through. Any vinyl supplier can supply this.

    Thanks for the help
I spoke to Victory & Metamark today and they are going to send a few samples out, its the first time I have dealt with either and I must say they were both incredibly helpful.

Or you could use the proper tool for the job. 😀

Go to http://www.expansys.co.uk and do a search for writeshield.

Not particularly cheap, but writeshield is the best that I have come across. I’ve got it on all my phones, pdas and satnavs.
