  • what is the best method of sending vinyl by post?

I’ve been asked to produce some vinyl web addresses for car fitting.

These are quite simple text only www. addresses measuring 95cm long by 12cm high.

I’ll have to apply the application tape so they can lift them off the carrier.

So what’s the best way to send this sort of stuff through the post?

    Cheers

John, I normally use the tube from a roll of vinyl (after it’s finished obv). Just cut it to size then roll up the graphics and stick them inside, then just use parcel tape to seal the ends.

I have the same problem. I have to send 60 600mm wide stickers. My wife suggested I use cardboard and put the stickers in between and tape the cardboard together so it makes a very sturdy large flat package.

I typically send 800mm x 500mm graphics through the post and use 2 sheets of single ply cardboard as a very large envelope. It will then go by Royal mail standard parcels or if its less than 660mm it will go first class. At least it’s kept flat as I only used the tube method once for this size but the graphic puckered up when it arrived with the customer (100mm dia tube).
I get them from here and add the cost on to the job.

I just roll them up and put them in the box that the vinyl came in, been doing it for years, never had a problem. Roll with the graphics on the outside and not too tight a diameter. When I fit vinyl produced by others I often get it like that too.

    Same as Alan.

Never had a problem. Also gets rid of some of your waste too.

    Always good to recycle.

    Cheers
